What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is an independent primary health-care profession that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and overall management of conditions that are due to problems with the joints, ligaments, tendons and nerves, particularly those related to the spine. (British Chiropractic Association).
Every day we put our body though a variety of stresses and strains. Poor posture, lack of exercise, trauma, stress (physical and emotional), and everyday wear and tear can be factors in causing loss of joint movement and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
These problems may cause pressure on the nerves in the body, often as they exit from the spine, which may result in symptoms in the corresponding part of the body the nerve supplies. For example, conditions of the lower back may affect the legs, or problems in the neck may affect the shoulders or arms.
What to expect
Chiropractors are highly trained in detecting restricted joint movement, particularly in the spine, and gently manipulating to restore joint function, reduce muscle spasm and aid.
We aim to provide our patients with a diagnosis and tailor made treatment plan to help them achieve their optimum level of health.
We have an integrated approach to healthcare with highly trained practitioners dedicated to providing a professional, efficient and warm, friendly service.
