What is Electrotherapy?

Physiotherapy aims to improve mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance physical function through a variety of techniques. Electrotherapy is one of these techniques, utilizing electrical energy to stimulate nerves and muscles, reduce pain, promote healing, and improve muscle function. Common forms of electrotherapy include Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), ultrasound, and interferential therapy. These methods are often used in conjunction with other physiotherapy treatments like manual therapy and exercise to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care.
